New tree paintings

I was asked to paint more tree paintings for someone's house.  I tried a new technique for the Tree Bark painting and I loved hiw it turned out.  Rings II looks impressive, Birch is my least favorite (and of course took the longest time...I am not sure it was meant to be created by me).  I included a close up of Birch since it was hard to see the details in the lighting I had.

Trusting Strangers

When I was 7, my family was going through a stressful time.  My parents decided a vacation to the Smoky Mountains would be a nice distraction.  But our vacation was abruptly interrupted and we were stranded in the Smoky Mountains for three weeks.  It's an amazing story with amazing characters.  Look for Trusting Strangers by D.A. Beats!

This is a paintting for our basement.  We are putting up canvas that have abstract or graffiti style art. I used acrylics for the drippy background and spray painted wood of different lengths to represent the 'beats' of a equalizer. Just trying something new and fun :)
